By now you should have received the Hazel PTA brochure titled, Helping Make Hazel Great and a 2011-2012 Nomination Form. (The brochure and Nomination Form are also available in Spanish). A few weeks ago, Part 1 of 2 told the story of one parent’s contribution as a PTA Committee Chairperson. Part 2 completes this story.
Who we are. What we do. Why we need you.
The PTA needs forty-five (45) people each year to offer fun school events, hold important fundraisers and to participate in the Executive Board and/or Committee Chair positions. (This number does not include the countless additional parents, caregivers and school staff who are needed to volunteer and help out during specific events).
The Executive Board and Committee Chairs’ create a parent leadership team. This team forms a partnership with our school to help support our administrator, staff and students.
In four days, Nomination Forms are due to the Main Office (by Friday, April 1, 2011). If you are interested in running for an Open Board Position please return your form by this date.
The Nominating Committee will present candidates at our next General PTA Meeting at 7:00 PM on April 6th.
